Mr Ahmed Elshaer is a consultant general and upper GI surgeon practicing in Yorkshire. He specialises in minimally invasive procedures for gastrointestinal conditions, including gallbladder surgery, hernia repair (all types of hernias), anti-reflux surgery, treatment of diaphragmatic and hiatus hernias, weight loss (bariatric) surgery, achalasia, oesophageal motility disorders and gastric and oesophageal cancers.
His expertise also encompasses advanced endoscopic techniques and surgical management of biliary and pancreatic diseases, bowel and splenic conditions, trauma, acute emergencies, and minor surgical procedures. Additionally, Mr Elshaer is highly skilled in advanced robotic surgery, with significant experience in robotic techniques for Upper GI disorders.
