Dr Ahmed Shalabi

Dr Ahmed Shalabi is an accomplished consultant gastroenterologist based in Berkshire and Surrey, practising across both the NHS and Private Patients Units at Parkside Suite Heatherwood Hospital and Parkside Suite Frimley Park Hospital. He specialises in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and the management of inflammatory bowel disease, with particular expertise in colonoscopy, polyp removal, gastroscopy, bowel cancer screening, reflux, coeliac disease, swallowing problems and changes in bowel habit. Known for his meticulous and patient-focused approach, he provides comprehensive assessment and personalised care for a wide spectrum of digestive disorders.

Dr Shalabi completed his medical degree at the University of Al Fateh, followed by postgraduate training that led to Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2015 and the award of ESEGH accreditation in 2021. He undertook his specialist gastroenterology training in London, including a prestigious advanced endoscopy fellowship at St Mark’s Hospital. This extensive training has equipped him with high-level skills in complex endoscopic procedures and the management of conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and iron deficiency anaemia.
