Mr Ajmal Masood

MrAjmalMasood is a highly experienced consultantENTsurgeon based in PeterboroughandKettering. He is renowned for his expertise in tonsilitis, deviatednasalseptum, hearingloss, tinnitus, sinusdisorders, and dizziness.

Mr Masood qualified in medicine from the University of Lucknow, India in 1993 before relocating to the UK to pursue further training. He gained membership and a diploma in otolaryngology, and head and neck surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2006, later becoming a fellow of the Royal College’s Otolaryngology, and Head and Neck Surgery section in 2010. Mr Masood also spent several years in Australia completing fellowships in otolaryngology at the Royal Darwin Hospital, which allowed him to gain specialist expertise in the treatment and management of a variety of ear, nose and throat conditions. He has served as a consultant ENT surgeon with the North West Anglia NHS Trust for a number of years, and has held the senior position of clinical director of the Ear, Nose, and Throat, and Head and Neck Unit at Peterborough City Hospital since 2021. Mr Masood sees private patients at the RamsayFitzwilliamHospital and TheHamptonsHospital in Peterborough, and the RamsayGlendonWoodHospital in Kettering.

Beyond his clinical practice, Mr Masood has made significant contributions to his field, including through numerous research projects and academic publications which appear in peer-reviewed journals. He is also an educationalsupervisor for ENT specialty trainee registrars in the East of England Deanery and a GPtraineesupervisor for ENT in Peterborough. Mr Masood is a member of the British Rhinological Society, the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery, and ENT UK.
