Dr Alvin Lee

Dr Alvin Lee is a consultant dermatologist in Coventry, Dorchester and Winchester. He specialises in acne, eczema, and dermatitis, alongside seborrhoeic dermatitis, sun damage, skin cancers, mole checks, cryotherapy and skin surgery. He privately practises at The Meriden Hospital, The Winterbourne Hospital and Sarum Road Hospital, and has significant consultancy experience in the NHS. 

Dr Lee holds extensive professional affiliations, including the British Association of Dermatologists, the British Society for Dermatological Surgery, the British Society for Dermatopathology, the Royal College of Physicians, the British Medical Association, the Royal Society of Medicine and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. His broad membership profile reflects his commitment to clinical excellence and continuing professional development.

He completed his Certificate of Completion of Training in Dermatology in 2014 and is on the GMC specialist register for dermatology. His academic pathway includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology from Glasgow, the MRCP(UK) Dermatology specialty certificate examination, MRCP(UK), a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, an MSc in Clinical Dermatology from King’s College London and earlier postgraduate programmes in practical dermatology following his MBBS from the University of Hong Kong.

Alongside his clinical roles, Dr Lee has a strong background in medical education. He has lectured in dermatology and acted as an online tutor for GPs. He has also examined undergraduate medical students at Queen Mary University of London and King’s College London. His academic work includes teaching on topics such as acne, eczema and skin cancer.

Dr Lee has held consultant positions in several secondary and tertiary NHS dermatology centres, including Dorset County Hospital and King’s College Hospital London. His dermatology training was completed on the Wessex rotation, where he developed interests in immunology, drug allergy, skin cancer management, cryotherapy and clinicopathological correlation.

In private practice in Coventry, Dorchester and Winchester, Dr Lee provides detailed skin assessments, mole screening, diagnosis and management of inflammatory skin disease, skin cancer and minor skin surgery.
