Dr Amitabh Naik is a leading consultant gastroenterologist and endoscopist in Chertsey, Guildford, Great Missenden and High Wycombe who specialises in endoscopy of the GI tract, various aspects of clinical gastroenterology and hepatology. He is an expert in treating GI cancer, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.
For the last 14 years, Dr Naik has been a consultant gastroenterologist at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a clinical lead for upper gastrointestinal cancer, as well as a gastrointestinal endoscopy trainer.
Dr Naik graduated with his medical degree from Mumbai University in 1994 before completing his MD in 1997. He went onto become a member of the Royal College of Physicians with whom he also completed a fellowship. He has undergone specialist training in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) in France and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) in Italy.
