Dr Amna Sheri

Dr Amna Sheri is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based in London, specializing in precision systemic therapies for breast cancer and melanoma. She has particular clinical interests in neoadjuvant (pre-surgical) treatments, immunotherapies, biomarker-driven targeted therapies, and clinical trials integration. She possesses dedicated expertise in treating complex breast cancer in younger women, pregnancy-associated breast cancer, and implementing advanced tracking techniques like ctDNA liquid biopsies.

Dr Sheri qualified from Imperial College London in 2004 and completed her higher specialist training in medical oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She subsequently earned an MD(Res) research degree from the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), focusing on predicting patient outcomes following neoadjuvant therapy.

In 2015, Dr Sheri was appointed as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, she set up a specialized Immunotherapy Toxicity Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)—collaborating with organ specialists in gastroenterology, endocrinology, and rheumatology—to proactively manage treatment side effects and address short and long-term late effects.

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Sheri is an active academic researcher focusing on prognostic and predictive biomarkers in early-stage breast cancer. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents her findings at national and international oncology conferences.
