Dr Arjuna is a lovely caring Doctor he made me feel at ease with my condition and he explained it to me so I was able to fully understand. I would recommend him to anyone . The staff are very helpful friendly and very pleasant from the minute you walk into the hospital to when you leave .

I recently underwent a catheter ablation procedure under the care of Dr. Aruna Arujuna at the Cheadle Alexandra Hospital, and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience.

Within one week of consulting Dr Arujuna, I was on the operating table having a heart ablation. During the previous 6 weeks I had been admitted to Resus at A&E on 10 occasions with readings of 190-205 BPM. Dr Arujuna fixed the problem with a 2 hour op.

As a 39-year-old female, I recently underwent a successful catheter ablation procedure with Dr. Arujuna after experiencing sporadic high heart rates over the past 12–18 months, including three high-risk visits to A&E. These episodes significantly impacted my confidence, making me anxious about exercising, socializing, or traveling without immediate access to medical help or medication. During my initial consultation in October, Dr. Arujuna was thorough, attentive, and compassionate. He listened carefully to my experiences, explained the likely causes of my condition in clear terms, and outlined my treatment options. Considering the sporadic nature of the episodes and potential long-term risks, I chose to proceed with catheter ablation rather than continuing to live with restrictions, anxiety, and reliance on medication. The procedure took place on December 15th at Spire Hospital in Manchester. Dr. Arujuna and his team ensured I felt informed and reassured every step of the way. I opted for sedation instead of general anesthesia to improve diagnostic accuracy, which was daunting but made manageable by the team’s incredible support. During the procedure, Dr. Arujuna identified the issue (AVNRT) and explained the next steps clearly. For the ablation itself, I chose general anesthesia and woke up shortly after with confirmation that the procedure was a success. Four weeks into my eight-week recovery, I’ve had no recurrence of symptoms. I returned to work after a week and avoided driving for five days to allow the small groin incision to heal—now barely visible. Being off daily medication has been a significant psychological shift, but my heart no longer needs it, which has been incredibly freeing. I’m deeply grateful to Dr. Arujuna and his team for their expertise and care. I feel amazing, have follow-ups planned, and am looking forward to resuming the activities I love with renewed confidence in 2025.
