Dr Athina Fonia is an experienced consultant dermatologist for both adults and children based in London. She specialises in nail diseases, autoimmune skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, acne, rosacea, and hidradenitis suppurativa. Beyond the clinic and operating theatre, Dr Fonia writes patient information leaflets on nail diseases for the British Hair and Nail Society. In the same vein, she is an avid teacher and trains undergraduate medical students as well as trainee doctors in her field. Dr Fonia has presented at national and international conferences and has been widely published.
