Dr Azmath Khan

Dr Azmath Khan is a highly esteemed consultant psychiatrist based in London who specialises in a psychotic disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression and bipolar disorder. He additionally specialises in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and psychosis amongst others.

After completing his initial training in India in 2000, Dr Khan relocated to the UK to pursue further training. After completing St. George’s psychiatric training scheme, he worked for several years in a medium secure setting at Springfield Hospital. Dr Khan also has experience in learning disability psychiatry from his time in the North London Higher Training Scheme. Dr Khan has been a consultant psychiatrist since 2011, working for several years in the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust. As well as his work in private practice, Dr Khan is the medical director at Cygnet Hospital Harrow and was instrumental in establishing the clinic’s in-patient unit.

Dr Khan is passionate about delivering patient-led care that takes into account individual needs and involves families in care planning. He has academic interests in medicolegal matters in the field of psychiatry such as psychiatric defence, risk assessment, risk management, safeguarding and offender health.
