Mr Bachar Zelhof

Mr Bachar Zelhof is a highly skilled consultant urological surgeon who specialises in a wide range of urological conditions, including the diagnosis and assessment of prostate disease and prostate cancer, urinary tract infections, haematuria (blood in the urine), bladder cancer, scrotal lesions and kidney stones. 

He has subspecialist expertise in the treatment of kidney cancer, ureteric obstruction and the urological complications of endometriosis. He is also a member of the BSGE-accredited North West Endometriosis Centre and the Alexandra Hospital Endometriosis Centre, and is experienced in both robotic and laparoscopic kidney and ureteric surgery.

His professional career includes specialist training within the North West Deanery, alongside further development of his expertise in kidney stone management and robotic surgery through international experience. As one of the highest-volume robotic kidney surgeons in the North West, Mr Zelhof also acts as a mentor and proctor in this field, supporting the development of fellow consultants and trainees.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Zelhof is actively involved in research and medical education. He has an extensive publication record and has presented at national and international conferences, with a focus on improving diagnostic and treatment pathways in urology. His commitment to education is reflected in his role in undergraduate teaching and his position as Senior Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester.
