Dr Behrouz Nabavi

Dr Behrouz Nabavi is an accomplished consultant psychiatrist and Medical Director of both the Birmingham Neuromodulation Centre and Priory Hospital Barnt Green, based in Birmingham. He specialises in general adult psychiatry with particular expertise in depression, bipolar disorder, adult ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), alongside advanced interest in psychopharmacology and neuromodulation treatments such as Deep TMS and Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS). Dr Nabavi is known for his highly person-centred and compassionate approach to psychiatric care, combining clinical precision with a strong emphasis on empathy and collaboration.

With over two decades of senior clinical experience, Dr Nabavi is a consultant psychiatrist with a distinguished background in NHS and independent practice. He holds a CCT in General Adult Psychiatry and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Alongside his clinical work, he has a strong academic and medico-legal profile, having received the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Research Presentation Prize and published widely in the field. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Aston Medical School, and continues to advance psychiatric practice through research and innovation in affective disorders and neuromodulation.
