Mr Ben Caesar is a highly accomplished and distinguished consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon who possesses a vast amount of experience and expertise in treatment for fractures of both upper and lower limb ACL reconstruction, meniscus injuries, cartilage repair, shoulder dislocation,and rotator cuff injuries. He currently practises at the London-based Harley Street Specialist Hospital, the Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital, and The Lister Hospital.
Mr Caeser, who has been the lead for the Armed Forces at the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust since April 2022, also specialises in knee pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, and sports injuries. He completed his intercalated degree in 1995, obtaining a BSc from the Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School. Three years later, he completed an MBBS at the Imperial College School of Medicine. Upon moving to Edinburgh for his basic surgical training, he passed his MRCS at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. His move to the Oswestry/Stoke rotation for specialty training in Trauma and Orthopaedics culminated in him passing the FRCS Ed (T&O), completing his Doctor of Medicine, being appointed FRCS Eng Ad Eundem, and passing the Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine.
Mr Caesar, who became a Member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine in 2017, continues to manage sports injuries in amateur and professional athletes; he was a team doctor working for the Scottish Rugby Union between 2002 and 2012.
