Ms Brinda Shah is a highly experienced consultant ophthalmologist based in Somerset, practising at Yeovil District Hospital. She specialises in glaucoma and cataract surgery, with expertise in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), laser capsulotomy, iridotomy, and advanced intraocular lenses, including toric and extended depth of focus (EDOF) lenses.
Ms Shah’s extensive training includes a glaucoma and A&E fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, followed by a research and clinical fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Trust in London, when she continued as an honorary glaucoma fellow with Moorfields. As an early adopter of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery in the South West, she remains at the forefront of innovation and service development and has extensive experience with MIGS and MIBS procedures like Preserflo implant, istent and Hydrus implant.
