Mr Daniel Swallow is a consultant urological surgeon practising across central London and Chelmsford, caring for adults and children throughout general urology. Known to patients as Danny, he offers generous consultation time, plain-language explanations, and continuity of care — the same consultant from first appointment to final follow-up.
He treats the common reasons patients see a urologist: urinary and prostate symptoms, kidney and ureteric stones, blood in the urine, a raised PSA, and recurrent urinary infections. He also provides the investigation and diagnosis of prostate cancer, referring onward for specialist treatment where needed.
Mr Swallow has two particular surgical interests: the treatment of urinary stones with minimally invasive, laser-based endourology, and surgery for benign prostate enlargement, including holmium laser enucleation (HoLEP), on which he is faculty for the Cambridge HoLEP course.
He graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2005, gained his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in urology (FRCS Urol) in 2013, and has been a consultant since 2015. He is a member of BAUS, the EAU and the AUA.
