Mr Darren Lewis is a fully accredited consultant plastic surgeon with broad expertise spanning all major areas of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He privately practises at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital.
His clinical practice encompasses reconstructive procedures, burn care, complex skin surgery (including the management of skin cancers), as well as body contouring surgery following significant weight loss, and a wide range of breast surgery.
Mr Lewis is an integral member of the Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at New Cross Hospital, where he contributes to the holistic management of patients with skin malignancies. Mr Lewis began his surgical journey in Stoke-on-Trent, later advancing his career through higher surgical training in plastic surgery in Newcastle upon Tyne. During his time in Newcastle, he cultivated a particular interest in burns care, leading to extensive research aimed at improving recovery outcomes for burn patients. This work culminated in a prestigious post-graduate fellowship in burns surgery at the Western Australia Burns Service.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Lewis is actively involved in medical education, regularly teaching junior doctors and specialist registrars in plastic surgery. He also serves as an examiner on the West Midlands Advanced Plastic Surgery Course, helping to train the next generation of surgeons.
