Mr Denosshan Sri is a consultant urological surgeon based in London with specialist expertise in robotic surgery, particularly in the management of prostate and kidney cancers. His clinical interests include robotic partial nephrectomy, robotic prostatectomy, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary incontinence, robotic reconstructive surgery, and general urology.
He graduated with distinction and double first-class honours from the University of Cambridge in 2011. He completed higher specialist training in London, which included prestigious fellowships in robotic upper tract and pelvic uro-oncology and reconstruction at St George’s Hospital, as well as robotic kidney cancer surgery at Frimley Park Hospital.
In 2021, Mr Sri was appointed Consultant Urologist at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he subspecialises in robotic kidney and prostate cancer surgery. He is currently the Lead for Kidney Cancer and Major Trauma Urology Services. As a high-volume robotic surgeon, he performs over 150 robotic procedures annually, spanning pelvic, upper tract, and reconstructive urology.
Beyond his clinical work, Mr Sri is a dedicated trainer and academic. He leads the Royal College of Surgeons and British Association of Urological Surgeons-accredited Robotic Fellowship Programme at St George’s Hospital, where he trains future robotic urological surgeons. He is also recognised as one of the few European specialists in retroperitoneal partial nephrectomy.
He has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to book chapters, and regularly presents at national and international conferences, including teaching on the BAUS FRCS Urology Course. Mr Sri also serves as a Principal Investigator for clinical trials in urological oncology and reconstruction.
