Mr Denosshan Sri
Urology in Central London, South London and Epsom
Professional statement
Mr Denosshan Sri is a consultant urological surgeon based in London, subspecialising in robotic kidney and prostate cancer surgery. He has particular expertise in nerve-sparing robotic radical prostatectomy and robotic partial nephrectomy
He is among a select group of European surgeons who perform robotic retroperitoneal partial nephrectomy—a nephron-sparing technique he introduced to South West London—as his default approach for kidney cancer, including the most complex, high-RENAL score tumours.
He graduated from the University of Cambridge with double first-class honours and distinction in 2011, and completed higher specialist surgical training in London, including competitive fellowships in robotic upper tract and pelvic uro-oncology at St George's Hospital and robotic kidney cancer surgery at Frimley Park Hospital.
In 2021, Mr Sri was appointed Consultant Urologist at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Kingston Hospital. There, he holds many clinical leadership positions, including Kidney Cancer Lead for the South West London referral network, RCS and BAUS-accredited Robotic Fellowship Lead, Cancer Lead for Urology, Robotic Steering Group Lead, and Urological Trauma Lead. He is the Urology Robotic Lead at Kingston Hospital. He performs over 200 robotic procedures annually across pelvic, upper tract, and reconstructive urology, with a total robotic caseload exceeding 1000 procedures during his fellowship and consultant appointment.
As Robotic Fellowship Lead at St George's, Mr Sri trains the next generation of robotic urological surgeons through the only RCS-accredited robotic urology fellowship programme in South West London. He is an active researcher, serving as Principal Investigator on two randomised controlled trials — the ELLIPSE trial (robotic prostatectomy with and without lymph node dissection in high-risk prostate cancer) and the PARTIAL trial (robotic partial versus radical nephrectomy for high-risk renal tumours). He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to surgical textbook chapters, and teaches regularly at national and international conferences, including the BAUS FRCS Urology Course.
Mr Sri offers a complete pathway from diagnosis through to robotic surgery and specialist follow-up for kidney cancer, prostate cancer, haematuria, and raised PSA. For prostate cancer, his nerve-sparing robotic radical prostatectomy programme achieves excellent continence rates. For BPH, he offers the full range of minimally invasive, ejaculatory-preserving day-case treatments, including Rezum, Aquablation and traditional procedures such as TURP and Greenlight laser. He accepts tertiary referrals for complex kidney and prostate cancer from across the UK.
