Dr Dimitrios Paschos

Dr Dimitrios Paschos is a highly experienced consultant psychiatrist specialising in the mental health of adults with learning and developmental disabilities. He practises at Re:Cognition Health London and has a particular interest in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the assessment and management of mental health conditions in people with intellectual disabilities.

Alongside his private practice, he continues to work within the NHS, where he leads the Blue Sky Adult ADHD Clinic and provides specialist care for adults with complex neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions.

Dr Paschos graduated in medicine from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1998 before moving to the UK to begin specialist psychiatric training in 1999. He completed both his core and higher specialist training at the internationally renowned South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, gaining extensive experience across general psychiatry, old age psychiatry, rehabilitation, liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, child and adolescent psychiatry and learning disabilities.

His higher specialist training focused on the Psychiatry of Learning Disabilities and included advanced training at the National Adult ADHD Centre at the Maudsley Hospital. He holds a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Psychiatry of Learning Disabilities and is listed on the GMC Specialist Register.

Since his appointment as a Consultant Psychiatrist in 2008, Dr Paschos has worked for several leading healthcare organisations, including South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, The Cambian Group, and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders, adopting a holistic, patient-centred approach tailored to the individual needs of each patient.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Paschos has made significant contributions to medical education and research. He regularly teaches Psychiatry of Learning Disabilities to medical students at University College London and is actively involved in research as a collaborating investigator on studies exploring the genetics of learning disabilities and the evaluation of novel psychotropic medications.

He has also held leadership positions within a number of medical and scientific charities and currently serves as President of the Hellenic Medical Society of the UK, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing psychiatric practice, education and research both nationally and internationally.
