Mr Donald McArthur is a highly accomplished general and upper GI surgeon based in Glasgow, practising at Ross Hall Hospital and Ross Hall Clinic Braehead. He specialises in hernia surgery, including complex abdominal wall reconstruction, as well as hiatus hernia and reflux surgery, gallstones and laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. He is widely recognised for his expertise in managing a broad range of upper gastrointestinal conditions, delivering tailored, patient-centred care.
Mr McArthur was appointed as a consultant in 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Scotland’s largest teaching hospital and Major Trauma Centre. He has developed a strong tertiary practice with particular expertise in biliary and gallstone disease and functional gastrointestinal disorders such as gastro-oesophageal reflux and achalasia.
