He was a fellow in otology and implants at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge during the pandemic, for which he was awarded the COVID star.

 

Since becoming a consultant in 2021, Mr Schechter performs hundreds of procedures yearly, such as septoplasty, eardrum and hearing mechanism repairs, and mastoid surgery, and is the lead for inherited hearing loss and balance/dizziness at the Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
