Miss Fatima Husain

Miss Fatima Husain is a leading gynaecologist and fertility specialist based in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. She currently sees patients at Spire Thames Valley Hospital and her fertility patients have their IVF treatment at TFP Thames Valley Fertility in Maidenhead.

Miss Husain graduated as a doctor from King's College Hospital Medical School in London. She completed her postgraduate training in obstetrics & gynaecology in London, having worked at Queen Charlotte's and St George's hospitals amongst others. Miss Husain is a senior clinician and strives to support fellow colleagues in her speciality and was elected as a Fellows’ Representative for her region as part of Council at the RCOG.

She had advanced specialist training in IVF and infertility at Guy's Hospital Assisted Conception Unit. Miss Husain is an NHS Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Heatherwood and Wexham Park hospitals, which are part of Frimley Health Foundation Trust. She has completed special skills training in gynaecological ultrasound and performs gynaecology scans on her own patients in clinic.

Miss Husain's private practice is based at the Spire Thames Valley, and she sees patients from Windsor, Ascot, Slough, Chalfont, Gerrards Cross and Maidenhead, and hence most of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. She is keen to help patients with a range of gynaecological issues such as heavy and/or painful periods, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, miscarriage and Infertility. 

Miss Husain also treats a range of hormonal disorders such as PCOS, adolescent gynaecology, and menopause. She also performs minimally invasive (keyhole)surgery for diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids and ovarian cysts.

She is the Clinical Lead for Fertility services at Wexham Park Hospital, where she also looks after pregnant women in the NHS. She is a leading teacher in her subject area and has the role of Assistant Clinical Professor in OBGYN for medical students based at Wexham Park from the American University of the Caribbean.

Miss Husain has written in a range of publications including, the British Medical Journal, Human Fertility, Infertility Network magazine and has had presentations at British Fertility Society Conferences.
