Ms Ferha Saeed is an experienced London-based consultant gynaecologist and menopause specialist with over 20 years of experience in providing expert, consultant-led women’s healthcare.
As a specialist in menopause, she offers comprehensive assessment and personalized management of perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms. She provides personalised hormone replacement therapy (HRT) with systemic and local agents, and non-hormonal alternatives as appropriate. The consultation includes assessment of cardiovascular risk, optimization of bone health, and proactive approaches for long-term health and healthy aging.
She also has special interest in managing challenging cases of premature ovarian insufficiency, surgical menopause, and patients with co-existing conditions requiring specialist assessment before hormone therapy.
In general gynaecology, Ms Saeed provides specialist diagnosis and management of menstrual disorders (heavy, irregular, or painful periods), premenstrual syndrome (PMS), amenorrhoea, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), with structured hormonal assessment and pragmatic management plans.
Her practice also includes sexual and vaginal health, managing recurrent infections, vaginal atrophy, and dyspareunia, together with cervical screening, HPV testing, sexual health screening, and comprehensive well-woman assessments. Contraception services are fully personalized, including IUD insertion and removal and both hormonal and non-hormonal methods.
She also provides specialist pre-pregnancy counselling for women at higher risk, offering comprehensive assessment and optimisation to support safer outcomes. Ms Saeed acquired MRCOG in 2004 and then FRCOG in 2017 from Royal college of obstetrician and Gynaecologist. Her awards include the St Thomas’ Foundation Visiting Fellow Award, the Ethicon Award from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and nominations for Barts Health Hero Awards.
She has had senior leadership positions, including Director of a Perinatal Network at Barts health, where she has led the development of clinical service strategies with a focus on maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality.
In the educational sector, she is the Director of Medical Education at Barts Health, Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (Queen Mary University of London), and an examiner at Royal college of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She is a menopause trainer at the British Menopause society.
