Dr Ganesh Krishnan

Dr Ganesh Krishnan is a distinguished hair restoration surgeon based in Birmingham who specialises in hair transplant surgery, follicular unit extraction (FUE), follicular unit transplantation (FUT), and female hair restoration. He is an expert in the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for hair growth, and his areas of expertise also include hairline design, scar revision, repair of unsuccessful hair transplants, and facial hair restoration procedures including bears and eyebrow transplants.

Dr Krishnan is the founder of GK Hair Restoration, where he consults privately. Additionally, he has been practising surgeon at Ziering Medical UK for nine years. Dr Krishnan has been practising hair restoration surgery exclusively for the past 13 years. Prior to his specialisation in hair restoration, Dr Krishnan built a strong foundation as a plastic surgeon, practising both in India and in the UK within the NHS for 15 years.

With over 30 years of experience, Dr Krishnan originally qualified with an MBBS from the University of Mysore. He completed a fellowship in hair restoration in Beverley Hills and Newport Beach clinics under Dr Craig L Ziering. He further trained in the FUE technique for hair restoration with Dr Ron Shapiro in the United States. He is a Diplomate of The American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and he is also a member of The British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery, the World FUE Institute, and The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners. Dr Krishnan remains actively in the ongoing research, education, and advancements in hair restoration techniques as a fellow of The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
