Mr Gareth Llewelyn Roberts is a leading consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon based in Cardiff. He has a specialist interest in young adult hip conditions, and he manages these through a mixture of hip arthroscopy, pelvic osteotomies (PAO) and hip replacement.
Mr Gareth Llewelyn Roberts is part of a team of surgeons who deal with pelvic and acetabular fracture for South Wales. His orthopaedic registrar training was across South Wales, where he also undertook a master of sciences in trauma surgery. Swansea University awarded Mr Roberts a doctor of medicine for his work on computation engineering for proximal femoral fractures.
He furthered his training with a fellowship in pelvic and acetabular surgery at a major trauma centre and an additional fellowship in young adult hip surgery with Mr Johan Witt, an international expert in the field. Mr Roberts was awarded an International AO Trauma Fellowship in 2013.
He has visited several international renowned surgeons to further his knowledge, including the Steadman Clinic in Vale, Colorado.
