Mr Giulio Garaffa is an esteemed consultant urologist in London. He specialises in male factor infertility, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's Disease, congenital penile curvature and penile reconstruction. Mr Garaffa is a leading expert in andrological procedures and performs one of the highest volumes of andrology surgeries in the UK.
Mr Garaffa completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training with a first-class degree with honours at the University of Trieste, Italy. He then completed a three-year fellowship in Andrology and Complex Male Genital Reconstruction at University College London Hospitals and became a consultant urologist in 2011. In 2015, he earned a PhD in Biotechnologies of Human Reproduction from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome, focusing on genetic anomalies in infertile males.
In 2022, he achieved the recognizion as Full Professor in Urology in Italy. Mr Garaffa is a recognised expert in andrology and male genital reconstruction. He has received several research awards and was a finalist for the Matula Award in 2016 for promising urologists under 40.
He has reviewed and edited for various international journals and co-authored over 150 original articles and book chapters. He also contributed to the guidelines for Peyronie’s disease for the International Society of Sexual Medicine (2016) and the European Society of Sexual Medicine (2022).
Mr Garaffa is frequently invited to perform live surgeries at international masterclasses and to lecture as a visiting professor in Andrology and Male Genital Reconstruction.
