Dr Giuseppe Merola is a consultant child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who provides online appointments across the UK. Dr Merola graduated in medicine with highest honours from Sapienza University of Rome and completed his specialist training in psychiatry with

Alongside his work at Online Psychiatry, Dr Merola is an honorary clinical fellow at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and an MRC funded PhD candidate at King's College London. His research focuses on psychiatric genetics and on combining genetic, environmental and clinical data to improve the understanding and treatment of mental health conditions. He is also an investigator and study coordinator for the RESTORE LIFE clinical trial and a founding trustee of the Foundation for Evolution and Mental Health.
Dr Merola has published 21 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has presented his research at national and international conferences. His work has appeared in journals including Nature Mental Health, Biological Psychiatry and Schizophrenia Research. He is an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Psychiatry, serves on the editorial boards of Sage Open Medicine and The Journal of Sexual Medicine, and is the author of Il paradosso della schizofrenia.

He works in collaboration with us as parents and he has also liaised with other professionals involved. I would recommend him to my friends.
