Dr Husain Shabeeh

Dr Husain Shabeeh is an exceptionally skilled consultant cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist based in London. 

He has a sub-specialist in the management of heart rhythm disorders and electrophysiology studies. He specialises in simple and complex catheter ablation procedures for arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation. In fact, he is a digital pioneer fellow with Digital Health London and is working on a project to increase screening for atrial fibrillation with the Health Innovation Network of the Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) for South London. 

Additionally, as an expert in general cardiology, he has extensive knowledge on the diagnosis and management of syncope (blackouts), hypertension (high blood pressure), chest pain and angina, among many other cardiac conditions. Dr Shabeeh can also provide cardiovascular risk assessments.

Dr Shabeeh regularly implants all types of cardiac devices including implantable loop recorders, pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation therapy for heart failure. He is at the forefront of implementing the latest technologies in his surgeries and he holds a great interest in using these technological advancements to improve models of health care. He has also been recognised by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) as a certified cardiac devices specialist.

He trained in all aspects of cardiology at world-renowned cardiac centres in London including The Royal Brompton Hospital, Harefield Hospital and King’s College Hospital. Furthermore, he has achieved BSc and PhD research degrees from the internationally renowned King's College London School of Medicine. During his training, he was awarded two competitive scholarships from the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Dr Shabeeh also dedicated his career to research and improving patient care. He has published numerous scientific research papers, including his recent paper on blood pressure which made the front pages of national newspapers, and he has presented his work at several national and international presentations.
