Mr Isa Edhem is a consultant urological surgeon specialising in general urology, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, penile implants, and treating female urinary incontinence with slings and bladder Botox. His practice is situated at The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate.
Mr Edhem qualified in 1989 from the Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London before undertaking postgraduate general surgical and urological training across London, Oxford, and Leeds. He gained additional specialist training experience in reconstructive and penile surgery in Italy, and in 1999, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He gained specialist accreditation as a Urological Surgeon in 2006. He served as the clinical director of urology at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust for four years between 2008 and 2012. Mr Edhem is the second longest serving consultant specialising in andrological surgery in Yorkshire, having performed over 330 specialist penile operations since 2006.
Mr Edhem has been the Chairman of the Harrogate division of the British Medical Association since 2010. He actively partakes in the training and examinations of medical students, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as an honorary senior clinical lecturer in surgery at the University of Sheffield.
