Dr Jacek Krysztofiak is a consultant psychiatrist in Saint Helier, Jersey, who specialises in adult ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and other psychiatric conditions. Dr Jack also runs the only transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) clinic in the Channel Islands.
Dr Krysztofiak 'Dr Jack' graduated with an MD from the University of Gdańsk, Poland, in 1989 before continuing his postgraduate training in South Africa, where he qualified as a consultant psychiatrist in 1999. He was awarded Fellowship of the College of Psychiatrists of South Africa (FcPsych) and went on to establish and run a successful private practice for 18 years. During this time, he treated patients across a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions in both elective and acute settings, gaining substantial clinical experience in complex and long-term mental health care.
Since 2018, Dr Krysztofiak has been practising in Jersey, where he continues to provide comprehensive psychiatric care within both community and private settings. He established a full time private practice in Jersey in 2024. He has been practising psychiatry since 1995 and his approach focuses on thorough assessment and tailored treatment planning, ensuring that patients receive care appropriate to their individual needs.
Dr Krysztofiak has a particular interest in adult ADHD, AuDHD and ADHD in women - including the assessment and management of associated emotional dysregulation, rejection sensitivity and co-existing conditions. He also has extensive experience in the treatment of mood disorders, including unipolar and bipolar depression, as well as anxiety and OCD. His clinical work reflects a commitment to supporting patients with both common and complex psychiatric presentations.
In addition to conventional psychiatric treatments, Dr Krysztofiak has developed expertise in transcranial magnetic stimulation, an alternative treatment option for certain mental health conditions. He obtained his first international certification in clinical TMS in 2021 and completed further refresher training in 2023. His work in this area reflects a focus on expanding access to evidence-based, non-invasive treatment options.
Dr Krysztofiak is an associate member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a member of the Jersey ADHD peer group. He remains actively engaged in professional development and has attended and presented at numerous conferences, workshops and training sessions throughout his career.
