Mr Jaison Patel

Mr Jaison Patel is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in South Essex and London, with a specialist focus on ACL injuries, knee arthritis and meniscus repair, alongside total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, knee cartilage injuries, knee pain and knee injuries. He privately practises at Nuffield Health St Bartholomew's Hospital, Nuffield Health The Holly Hospital, and The London Clinic. He also holds an NHS post at The Royal London Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust, where he leads a busy tertiary-level service for complex knee cases and serves as the Complex Major Revision Knee Network Lead for north east London.

Mr Patel treats the full range of knee conditions, from sports injuries and early arthritis to advanced joint disease and failed knee replacements. He is also an expert in meniscal surgery, knee arthroscopy, cartilage repair, total knee replacement, osteotomy, and complex multi-ligament reconstruction. He also performs revision knee replacements and offers joint preservation procedures, including cutting-edge cartilage replacement techniques such as autologous chondrocyte implantation and matrix-induced chondrocyte implantation (MACI).

After completing his medical degree at the University of London, Mr Patel trained on the prestigious Cambridge higher surgical training programme and went on to undertake a fellowship in complex knee surgery at the internationally recognised Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. He has also visited leading international centres to further his expertise.

Mr Patel is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, while he is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Association for the Surgery of the Knee.
