Mr James Kinross is a London-trained consultant colorectal surgeon with more than 15 years of experience treating people with colorectal diseases and disorders. His areas of expertise include colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulosis, hernias and haemorrhoids. He is also an expert in the gut microbiome and routinely researches probiotic and prebiotic therapies for colonic health.
He practises privately in various locations in London, including the King Edward VII´s Hospital Sister Agnes, St Mary's Hospital - Lindo Wing and Welbeck. In addition, he is a senior lecturer at the Imperial College London, where he performs translations research into computational and systems biology in surgery.
Mr Kinross is also actively involved in clinical research. He is currently working on a clinical trial that uses intra-operative mass spectrometry to improve the precision in the surgical treatment of colorectal cancer.
He is an expert in his field and has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers, authored many book chapters and presented at well over 30 international conferences.
