Dr Laszlo Halmai

Dr Laszlo Halmai is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist in Imaging in Milton Keynes and Bedford, who specialises in cardiac screening, Echocardiography, cardiac stress imaging tests, alongside ECG-Tape monitoring for heart rhythm changes (Holter), ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), cardiovascular CT scans, cardiac MRI studies, and diagnosing and managing heart failure. He privately practises at The Saxon Clinic, The Manor Hospital in Bedford and The Harley Street Consulting Clinics, while his NHS base is Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Halmai is committed to offering comprehensive cardiovascular care to his patients. His extensive knowledge and international experience in these areas ensure that he provides the highest level of care, from diagnostic testing through to management of complex heart conditions.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Halmai holds a board position at the Cardiomyopathy and Inherited Cardiac Conditions Services at The Harefield Hospital, London, and actively contributes to the ongoing development of cardiac services in the UK. He also serves as a honorary Clinical Lecturer in Cardiomyopathies at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in London, and also a Lecturer and Educational Supervisor at the University of Buckingham Medical School, where he is deeply involved in the training and mentoring of future healthcare professionals.

Dr Halmai's educational background is extensive. He holds an MD from the University of Szeged Medical School, and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London, Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (USA), he holds an MSc in Autonomic Research, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

He has earned certifications in both General (Internal) Medicine and Cardiology, reflecting his broad clinical expertise. He has been accredited in Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography by the BSE (UK), and in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography by the SCCT (USA).

His professional affiliations include membership in the British Cardiac Society, the British Society of Echocardiography, the European Society of Cardiology, as well as the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, he holds Fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians (London) and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (USA), among others.
