Dr Lokesh Bisati is a highly experienced consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist based in Chelmsford, Essex, with over 20 years of clinical experience in psychiatry, including more than 15 years at consultant level within the UK.

He is highly experienced in prescribing and monitoring psychotropic and controlled medications.
Dr Bisati adopts a holistic, patient-centred approach, working collaboratively with young people, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and personalised care. He also facilitates appropriate referrals for psychological therapies, occupational therapy, and educational support to ensure comprehensive management of each young person’s needs.
He completed his medical degree (MBBS) at Mysore University, India, before undertaking postgraduate psychiatric training in the UK, gaining Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2006. His broad training across multiple psychiatric subspecialties has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of mental health across the lifespan.
Throughout his career, Dr Bisati has demonstrated strong leadership within multidisciplinary teams and has contributed significantly to service development, clinical governance, safeguarding practices, and quality improvement initiatives. He is actively involved in teaching, supervision, and mentoring of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
