Mr Lukasz Polanski is a revered consultant gynaecologist, as well as an accredited subspecialist in reproductive medicine and surgery. He holds a substantive NHS consultant position at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, where he delivers specialist care in fertility, reproductive endocrinology, adolescent gynaecology, and general gynaecology. He also practises at Bourn Hall Fertility Clinic, supporting individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatment.
He completed his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the East of England before undertaking subspecialty training in reproductive medicine at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. In addition, he earned a PhD from University of Nottingham, where his research focused on factors influencing predictors of in vitro fertilisation outcomes.
Mr Polanski’s clinical expertise includes the investigation and management of subfertility, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), premature ovarian insufficiency, amenorrhoea, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, early pregnancy care, and recurrent pregnancy loss. He also specialises in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, including hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures, alongside advanced fertility treatments such as IVF. He is highly experienced in early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound scanning and remains actively involved in medical education, regularly teaching on fertility and ultrasound training programmes.
In private practice, Mr Polanski consults at CRGC Stamford and Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, where he provides personalised, patient-focused care. Consultations are available in both English and Polish. He is a member of several professional organisations, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, British Fertility Society, British Society for Gynaecological Imaging, British Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
Mr Polanski is dedicated to delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to all his patients. In recognition of his support for patients experiencing pregnancy loss, he received the Special Recognition Award in the “OBGYN of the Year” category from Mariposa International and The Saying Goodbye Foundation in March 2025.
