She is well-published on topics including the long-term outcome of prenatally-diagnosed urological problems such as hydronephrosis, megaureter, posterior urethral valves and vesicoureteric reflux (VUR).
Her surgical expertise includes neonatal and childhood circumcision; repair of simple and complex hypospadias including staged graft repairs; hernia and hydrocoele repairs; surgery for undescended testes; robotic-assisted and open pyeloplasty; robotic-assisted and open ureteric reimplantation; surgery on duplex kidneys and ureterocoeles; posterior urethral valves; nephrectomy and hemi-nephrectomy; Deflux injection for kidney reflux with urine infections; and management of UTI's and incontinence/ enuresis.

- Miss Farrugia is absolutely fantastic. Very professional, excellent bedside manner. She is one of the (now rare) doctors that goes that step further to do what is best for her patients ... and of course a fantastic surgeon. I would definitely recommend. The whole team at Cromwell are great and in particular very good at dealing with both children and worried parents.
- Staff are friendly and helpful. The childrens unit waiting area is small for the number of patients and would benefit from redecorating. I Like that it is secure with entry buzzers
- Miss Farrugia was exactly what we hoped. Very sensitive and kind to our daughter. Very practical and talked through next steps and a clear action plan.
- Kind and reassuring with my child. Very clear communication and easy to understand - no doctor jargon!
