Mr Matyas Fehervari

Mr Matyas Fehervari is a consultant upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgeon and interventional endoscopist in central London, Haywards Health and Tunbridge Wells, who specialises in gallbladder surgery, gallstones and acid reflux, alongside robotic surgery, endoscopy, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG), hernia, bariatric surgery, and hiatal hernia surgery. He privately practises at King Edward VII’s Hospital in Marylebone, Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital, while his NHS base is Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

Mr Fehervari specialises in anti-reflux surgery including laparoscopic fundoplication and LINX magnetic sphincter augmentation, alongside complex gallbladder and bile-duct surgery, bariatric procedures such as gastric sleeve and bypass, and Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG). He serves as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London and a Clinical Lecturer at Kent and Medway Medical School.

Mr Fehervari maintains active membership with the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS), Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons (AUGIS), International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO), and the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), among other professional bodies.

Mr Fehervari is frequently invited to share his expertise in national and international media including BBC One, Bloomberg, The Independent, and Yahoo News UK, focusing on surgical innovation, metabolic health, and digestive science. He is a nationally accredited trainer in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and is the lead tutor of the endoscopy training hub at the South East Endoscopy Training Academy.
