Dr Mausumi Das is a consultant gynaecologist and a subspecialist in reproductive medicine and surgery. She has extensive experience and expertise in IVF, failed fertility treatment, polycystic ovary syndrome, fertility preservation for cancer patients, mild stimulation IVF and recurrent implantation failure. She believes in a personalised and patient-centred approach to fertility treatment, individualising treatment protocols to achieve the best success rates.
Dr Das completed her post-graduate specialisation in obstetrics and gynaecology and was awarded a certificate of completion of training by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She subsequently undertook a two-year sub-speciality fellowship program in reproductive medicine and surgery at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She was awarded a research doctorate by the University of London and an MPH degree by Harvard University.
She worked as a consultant in reproductive medicine for five years at Queen Charlotte and Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, before taking up a position as a consultant in reproductive medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Das is the author of more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the field of reproductive medicine and infertility. She has presented her work at numerous international and national conferences.
