Ms Michelle Swer

Ms Michelle Swer is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at St George’s University Hospital and works privately at the Portland Hospital and Harley Street via the London Gynaecology Practice.  

Ms Swer graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, and completed her obstetrics and gynaecology training at reputable London hospitals and carried out research in early pregnancy ultrasound and contributed to academic papers about early pregnancy.   

Ms Swer is committed to helping women through all aspects of the reproductive and post reproductive life though a holistic approach.  She helps women get clear answers about their symptoms in a calm, supportive way. Patients often see her for period problems, early pregnancy concerns, menopause symptoms and fertility investigations as well as a general well woman check.   

Ms Swer has extensive experience in outpatient gynaecology including ultrasound and hysteroscopy meaning many concerns can be assessed and managed without hospital admission. For patients, this often means quicker reassurance, fewer appointments and less disruption to everyday life.  Ms Swer uses scanning not just to investigate symptoms, but to help patients understand what is happening in their body, explaining findings clearly and answering questions as she goes. Many patients find this especially reassuring when they are feeling worried or uncertain. 

In clinic, Ms Swer is known for her warm, empathetic manner. She takes time to listen and is especially mindful that scans and procedures can feel daunting. Her aim is for patients to feel at ease, informed and supported throughout their appointment. 

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys the theatre, visiting art galleries and travelling with her family.
