Mr Mohammed Bahgat

Mr Mohammed Bahgat is an ENT consultant with a special interest in advanced sinus surgery and nasal plastic surgery in Stockton-on-Tees and Darlington. He specialises in endoscopic sinus surgery, nasal polyps, deviated nasal septum, alongside functional rhinoplasty, management of sinusitis, rhinitis and smell disorders and tonsillectomy. He privately practises at Nuffield Health Tees Hospital and Woodlands Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, and his NHS base is South Tees NHS Foundation Trust.

He offers comprehensive care for general ENT conditions including snoring, tinnitus, dizziness, ear infections, voice change and globus symptoms. His approach to patient care is centred on open, clear communication, ensuring patients are provided with all the information they need to make informed decisions in a supportive and understanding environment.

Mr Bahgat's qualifications include FRCS, MRCS and DOHNS from the Royal College of Surgeons. Following completion of his registrar training in the North East of England, with rotations at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Freeman Hospital, Sunderland Royal Hospital and James Cook University Hospital, Mr Bahgat undertook visited leading skull base centres at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in the USA and in Varese, Italy, where he gained advanced skills in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery from internationally recognised experts.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Bahgat is actively involved in teaching and training. He is a faculty member for the National Advanced Sinus Surgery Cadaveric Course and the Annual International Facial Plastic Surgery Course. He also collaborates with GPs, delivering lectures at local educational meetings on topics such as allergic rhinitis, including the role of allergy testing in improving symptom control.

Mr Bahgat is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is a member of ENT UK, the British Rhinology Society and the European Rhinology Society.
