Dr Mugilan Anandarajan

Dr Mugilan Anandarajan is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician in Belfast with a special interest in paediatric allergy conditions, acid reflux, cow’s milk protein intolerance, eczema, and respiratory problems. He also manages constipation, headaches, recurrent infections, abdominal pain, and a broad range of general paediatric conditions within private healthcare.

Dr Anandarajan holds a Consultant Paediatrician position at Ulster Hospital. He practises privately at Kingsbridge Private Hospital, Ulster Independent Clinic, and Hillsborough Private Clinic.

Dr Anandarajan’s current NHS posts include serving as the Lead Consultant for Paediatric Audit / Quality Improvement and as a member of the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust local negotiating committee at Ulster Hospital, Dundonald.

He is the Honorary Chairman of the British Medical Association’s Northern Ireland Eastern Division. He is also the Trustee and Honorary Treasurer of the Ulster Paediatric Society (Northern Ireland Charity Number 101701).

Dr Anandarajan is a highly qualified and experienced paediatric consultant. He completed his Paediatric Specialty training in Northern Ireland, obtaining his MRCPCH in 2006 followed by his FRCPCH in 2016. He is highly experienced in managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, and is happy to see children aged 0–16 across all aspects of paediatrics.

Dr Anandarajan is actively involved in teaching and research at Queen’s University, Belfast, and his work has been published and presented both nationally and internationally. Dr Anandarajan works closely with families to develop personalised treatment plans that meet each child's unique needs, ensuring child and family-centred care.
