Mr Muhammad Shiwani is a leading consultant general and laparoscopic surgeon based in Leeds and Barnsley. - I had a inguinal Hernia operation on the 3rd of February 2026 , Dr Shiwani gave me too options ,1 key hole, 2 open surgery , he said the key hole is less pain in recovery , however I opted for the open surgery , which I had hardly any pain , it was sore for the first 2 weeks , the hospital gave me codene to manage the pain , which I did not take , only ibuprofen for the first 3 days, I have a very physical job , which I was tempted to have the key hole , open surgery was the best for me .
- I have recently had a Gallbladder operation under the surgeon Dr Shiwani and his team. Dr Shiwani was very througher and answered my questions and concerns. I found Dr Shiwani had a calm reassuring voice and a good sense of humour. My operation went well. I was discharged the same day with fill information on how my recovery would be. On my return to see Dr Shiwani he was pleased on how my recovery was going. I want to thank Dr Shiwani and all the staff for being caring,attentive through out.
- Put me at ease from our first meeting keeping me informed about everything that would happen. Throughout the whole process everything was geared about what I wanted and when, never felt like a number, always a person. 5 star from start to finish, highly recommend.

- Mr Shiwani was about fabulous, he did my open inguinal hernia operation and I didn't need to take the prescribed Codine and only used 2 paracetamol and 2 ibrabrufine tablets . 2 weeks in and absolutely nonside effects and om back driving again with no pain.
