Mr Myutan Kulendran is a consultant general and upper GI surgeon at St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. His private practice is based at King Edward VII’s Hospital London. Patients can also be seen at the Mayo Clinic and Nuffield Heath Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon.
Myutan gradualted from St George’s University London and undertook his higher surgical training in South London. He also completed his bariatric fellowship at St George’s Hospital before being appointed a Consultant in 2021.
At St George’s Hospital he performs high volume bariatric surgery for obesity including revisional work. He also treats other benign conditions of the oesophagus and stomach such as hiatus hernia repair and anti-reflux surgery and carries out large number of operation for hernias and gallstones. He also provides gastric pacing for patient with gastroparesis as part of a unique Upper GI MDT.
Myutan is a senior lecturer at City St George’s University. He has a strong academic profile with a first class honours BSc and a PhD from Imperial College London. He has published widely in obesity, teaching health technology and simulation.
