Mr Neil Segaren
Professional statement
Mr Neil Segaren specialises in all areas of non-spinal paediatric orthopaedics, with advanced expertise in paediatric, adolescent, and young adult hip preservation techniques, as well as neuromuscular disorders such as cerebral palsy.
He is triple-fellowship trained, having spent a year at Sick Kids in Toronto—widely regarded as the birthplace of modern paediatric hip surgery—and eighteen months at Great Ormond Street, two of the leading children's hospitals in North America and Europe, respectively. His two years at The Royal London, Europe’s busiest level one trauma centre, provided him with extensive experience in treating injured children.
Mr Segaren has a particular interest in using computer-navigated bone cuts (osteotomies) to enhance surgical precision, and in applying human factors principles to reduce medical errors. As a father of three young children, Neil deeply understands the significant impact surgery can have on both children and their families.
He is committed to ensuring that each patient and their family feels supported throughout their care, providing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs. With dedicated training in the body’s natural ability to remodel and self-heal over time, he prioritises minimally invasive approaches to maximise outcomes and reduce disruption.
