Dr Nirit Braha is a distinguished consultant paediatrician and endocrinologist. She sees babies and children of all ages, from premature infants to young adults up until their 18th birthday. As a General Paediatrician with over 17 years’ clinical experience, Dr Braha offers expert advice about a huge range of common child health concerns, such as headaches, abdominal pain and chronic cough. She also offers newborn and child health checks.
Dr Braha also has subspecialty expertise in paediatric endocrinology and in the diagnosis and management of hormonal disorders, including thyroid disorders, early puberty, late puberty, menstrual disorders and obesity. Background
Dr Braha qualified in Medicine with Distinction in Special Studies from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in 2006. She also holds a BSc in Pharmacology with Basic Medical Sciences (1st Class Hons) and subsequently completed a Masters degree in International Health (Distinction). Her training included general and acute paediatrics, paediatric and neonatal intensive care and neurodevelopmental paediatrics.
Dr Braha also undertook subspecialist training in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes at UCLH, Great Ormond Street Hospital, St George’s Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Dr Braha has undertaken a range of laboratory and clinical research and has delivered multiple presentations at international conferences.
Dr Braha is a published author in paediatric endocrine, diabetes and general paediatrics topics. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Braha has led quality improvement and service development work at multiple NHS Trusts and has also co-authored several network guidelines. She remains closely involved in training the next generation of doctors and works as a Simulation Training co-lead, Advanced Paediatric Life Support instructor, Educational Supervisor and Tutor for UCL medical students.
Dr Braha has been a Consultant Paediatrician at the Royal Free Hospital, London since 2018. She is a member of the British Society of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes and a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Dr Braha offers face to face, telephone and video consultations at the Wellington Hospital Outpatients and Diagnostics Centre in Golders Green, and at the Portland Hospital in Central London. Her NHS base is at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London.
