Mr Omar Quaba

Mr Omar Quaba is a consultant plastic surgeon in Edinburgh, specialising in aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery. His areas of expertise include chin enhancement, neck liposuction and facial fat transfer, alongside upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty and brow lift. He privately practises at Waterfront Private Hospital.

Mr Quaba, who also provides a wide range of non-surgical and minor surgical procedures, including mole checks and removal, skin cancer assessment and treatment of benign skin lesions, delivers personalised care across facial aesthetics, body contouring and breast surgery. His subspecialist interests include short-scar facelifts, ear correction, post-weight loss surgery, breast implant health checks and combined breast uplift with implants. He also has extensive experience in skin cancer assessment, including malignant melanoma.

Mr Quaba qualified in medicine from the University of Cambridge in 1998 and also holds a BA (Hons) in medical ethics, psychology and the history of medicine. He completed his specialist plastic surgery training in Aberdeen and at the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit in Glasgow, followed by an advanced fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia, where he developed further expertise in microsurgery and complex facial, head and neck reconstruction.

He was appointed as an NHS consultant plastic surgeon in 2011 before moving into full-time private practice in 2020. In 2023, he co-founded Waterfront Private Hospital in Edinburgh, a purpose-built facility designed to deliver high standards of patient care and surgical safety.

Mr Quaba is a full member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has also voluntarily completed Cosmetic Certification through the Royal College of Surgeons, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest professional and clinical standards.
