Brilliant: Dr Lusty has a professional yet friendly bedside manner. Always has time to discuss your concerns in an interested way, giving advice freely. I have had both hips replaced now. Both successful, even though the second hip I know was very challenging.

Mr Lusty recently carried out my right hip replacement. I can highly recommend him for not only his professionalism but also for the time he took in explaining the procedure and ongoing ways to help me recover from the procedure.

A full knee replacement operation was performed at the end of June 2026 and following physiotherapy I was discharged by Mr. Lusty mid-August with very good progress having been made.I have continued to improve and I am happy to recommend.

Mr Lusty's bedside manner is not conventional and could be interpreted as poor. I found it refreshing, honest and blunt but not offensive. He made the whole ACL reconstruction process clear and I appreciated the directness. The quality of care, correspondence and scar were excellent. When people ask who did my reconstruction they all comment on him being the best locally. I would thoroughly recommend him but if you want sympathy and a soft bedside manner, he may not be for you!

Just been signed off six weeks after left THR. Exceptional treatment by Mr Lusty, his surgical team and Wellesley hospital staff. Walked unaided after 4 days and progressed ever since. Further instruction by Mr Lusty on striding out and quickening gait when walking. Totally painless operation and aftercare. Mr Lusty operated on my late wife's hips with similar positive results. Would not hesitate in recommending Mr Lusty for orthopaediatric surgery.

I have recently had a knee replacement via Mr Lusty. The experience from beginning to end has been of the highest quality and professionalism. Mr Lusty is a straight talking surgeon who explained everything very clearly and is supported by an expert clinical staff who made the procedure as easy as possible whilst in the hospital and at home. The aftercare support has been exceptional and although the operation is painful, the experience has been expertly managed by caring, knowledgeable staff.

I had my right hip replacement on the 8th June 2026 within 3 weeks I was walking unaided, yes I still have a long way to go but I can't thank Mr Lusty enough for giving me back my mobility, independence and my life, if you are like me suffering in pain and dominating your life i highly recommend you do as i did and suffer no more, the whole process from the first consultation to now is so straight forward my only regret is I didn't contact Mr Lusty sooner.
