Having played an active role in the Lions Sight First Programme and Aravind Eye Hospitals’ outreach eye camps, Mr. Kumar has performed close to 30,000 eye procedures including cataract operations across a wide range of clinical settings over the past 35 years.


After completing an intensive residency programme and advanced specialist training at Aravind Eye Hospital, Mr Kumar went on to achieve the FRCS (Glasgow), FRCS (Edinburgh), and MRCOphth qualifications, reflecting his commitment to the highest standards of surgical excellence and professional development.


He began his UK career with a clinical attachment at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London one of the world’s leading centres for eye care, before completing further specialist training at leading ophthalmic centres across the UK.
