Professor Raj Srirajaskanthan

Prof. Raj Srirajaskanthan is a leading consultant gastroenterologist in London and a specialist in Neuroendocrine Tumours (NETs). He sees patients privately at London Bridge Hospital, The Wellington Hospital and The London Clinic. Patients come to him for fast, accurate diagnosis and treatment of IBS, chronic bloating, acid reflux (GERD), persistent diarrhoea and constipation, abnormal liver function tests, and gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine tumours. He is a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist, known for high standards of safety and accuracy during colonoscopy and gastroscopy.

Few gastroenterologists combine broad day-to-day expertise with deep specialist knowledge of NETs, a rare tumour type that is often missed or diagnosed late. Professor Srirajaskanthan is Director of the Neuroendocrine Tumour Unit at King's Health Partners, an ENETS Centre of Excellence and one of the UK's leading NET treatment centres. This means his private patients can access specialist, multidisciplinary cancer care that very few clinics in the country offer. He also sits on the executive committees of the UK and Ireland Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (UKI NETS) and the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (ENETS), and is a trustee of Neuroendocrine Cancer UK.

Prof. Srirajaskanthan qualified in medicine from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine in 2001, and trained at leading hospitals in Oxford and London. He was later awarded an MD (Res) from University College London (UCL) for his research into gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine tumours. He holds an honorary professorship in Gastroenterology at King's College London, has written and edited five medical textbooks on liver disease and neuroendocrine tumours, and continues to publish research and teach on advanced endoscopy courses.
