Mr Rajeev Advani is a consultant ENT surgeon and rhinoplasty specialist in Lancashire, who specialises in functional rhinoplasty, cosmetic rhinoplasty, rhinology and anterior skull base surgery, alongside allergies, nasal polyps and sinusitis. He privately practises at Greater Lancashire Hospital, Buckshaw Hospital, Euxton Hall Hospital, Fullwood Hall Hospital and Newlands Medical Centre, while his NHS base is Royal Preston and Chorley Hospital, part of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
His office-based practice also covers minimally invasive ENT surgery, including balloon sinuplasty, Eustachian tube, balloon dilation, LATERA nasal valve implant, and Clarifix cryotherapy for runny nose. Mr Advani, who is fellowship trained in rhinoplasty, facial plastic surgery, rhinology, and anterior skull base surgery, also has an allergy practice where he provides expertise in allergy testing and sub-lingual immunotherapy.
Mr Advani completed his medical degree at King’s College London School of Medicine before undertaking ENT surgical training at leading centres including Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, Manchester University Hospitals and Salford Royal Hospital. He then completed a highly regarded post-CCT fellowship in facial plastic surgery, rhinology and anterior skull base surgery at St George’s University Hospital in London.
He also completed an MCh in Otorhinolaryngology from Edge Hill University and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS ORL-HNS). He has gained further experience through international observerships and regularly collaborates with leading Harley Street surgeons.
His clinical interests include both cosmetic and functional nasal surgery, endoscopic management of sinus disease, repair of septal perforation, treatment of nasal obstruction and allergy, and surgery for anterior skull base and orbital conditions. He also treats facial pain, ENT-related vasculitis and skin cancers affecting the face. He is particularly experienced in minimally invasive endoscopic techniques.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Advani maintains a strong academic presence. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Edge Hill University and faculty member on national training courses including the London Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course. He serves on the editorial board of several medical journals and has authored numerous scientific publications. He is the principal investigator for a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) study and a sub-investigator on several others.
He is a member of numerous professional organisations including the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS), British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery (BSFPS), British Rhinological Society (BRS), European Rhinologic Society (ERS), and ENTUK.
His contributions to the field have been recognised with awards including the Lister Legacy Prize from the Royal College of Surgeons, the Nayyar Naqvi Medal and the Anne Savage Award from the NHS, as well as Gold and Silver Awards from the North West Deanery School of Surgery.
