Mr Richard Evans

Mr Richard Evans is a highly experienced consultant specialist shoulder surgeon, specialising in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of shoulder conditions. He has a particular interest in advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques, helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes with the latest surgical innovations.

Originally from Cardiff, Mr Evans studied medicine at the University of Nottingham before returning to Wales to complete his surgical training. He further developed his expertise by undertaking two prestigious fellowships in Shoulder Surgery and Sports Injury in Sydney, Australia, where he trained in cutting-edge arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures.

With more than 20 years' experience as a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon in South Wales, Mr Evans is recognised for his extensive clinical expertise and commitment to advancing shoulder surgery. He is an active member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society and regularly presents his research at national and international meetings.

Mr Evans is also an honorary surgeon to the Welsh Rugby Union, the Rugby Football Union (England), Cardiff Rugby, the Scarlets, Ospreys and Dragons, as well as the majority of English Premiership rugby clubs. In addition, he provides specialist care for several football and cricket teams across the South of the UK.
