Mr Richard Hill

Mr Richard Hill is a skilled orthopaedic surgeon based in Chichester, Sussex. He specialises in treating shoulder problems, knee problems, and many other aspects of orthopaedic surgery, including knee arthoplasty and primary hip replacements. He is also well-versed in treating sports injuries and using modern treatments such as PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and shockwave therapy. He currently practises at the Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital, the BMI Goring Hall Hospital, as well as St Richard's Hospital. 

A graduate of the University of Birmingham, Mr Hill qualified in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in 1992, before undergoing basic and higher specialist training in Edinburgh. He completed two fellowships: one specialising in trauma and shoulders in New Zealand; the other specialising in sports injuries of the knees and shoulders in Oswestry. A current fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons since 2001, he has now been practising as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon for over fifteen years, and his experience and expertise make him a much-sought-after specialist for patients with shoulder, elbow, and knee complaints.

To-date, he has published an extensive amount of peer-reviewed articles and publications. His main subspecialties include shockwave therapy, sports injuries to the knee, as well as platelet-rich plasma. He is a member of the Medical Protection Society.
